Hi there! π¨π»βπ«
What does the Spanish idiom "thinking about the immortality of the crab" mean? What about the Portuguese "take the little horse out of the rain"?
In this conversation lesson, based on an article from Mental Floss, students are given the opportunity to learn the meaning of twenty delightful idiomatic expressions from diverse language backgrounds.
The lesson plan includes a jigsaw reading activity as well as plenty of "colorful" English idioms, which might come in handy for students preparing for advanced-level examinations such as C1 Advanced (CAE) and C2 Proficiency (CPE).
